O'Grove, North Western Spain

Myself and some longterm painting buddies took a trip to O'Grove a few years back, organised by the late John Sheehan, an enthusiastic amateur painter and great friend of my painting group - the Back Lane Painters. John had visited this Spanish village a few times previously and recommended we paint there, and he organised a group exhibition in cafe shown here, just a few days after we arrived! It was touch and go that we had enough paintings made for the opening! We remember John fondly, and we also remember having a wonderful time in O'Grove, and getting used to the multi-courses of Tapas in the very late (for us) evening meals spread across several wonderful Tapas bars.
