1. The site & the artist
This website (johndinanartist.com) is operated by John Dinan, a professional artist working from a studio in Cross, Co. Mayo, Ireland. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.
2. Buying a painting
Each painting listed is a unique original, sold one at a time. When you click “Buy this painting”, the work is reserved for you for 20 minutes while you complete checkout via Stripe. Payment is taken in full at checkout, in euro, inclusive of any applicable VAT.
Title to the painting passes to you when payment is received in full. Risk passes when the painting is handed to the courier.
3. Packing, Postage or Shipping of Paintings
If not collected from my studio, paintings ship from my studio or from my packing company, depending on size/weight, typically within five working days. Packing, Postage and Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on destination. Customs duties, import VAT, and brokerage charges outside the EU are the buyer’s responsibility.
4. Returns
Original artwork is not returnable once shipped, except where damaged in transit. See the returns policy for the full process.
5. Workshops Cancellation
By Participant.Workshop fees paid are refundable in full if sought before 4 weeks in advance of the start date. Within 4 weeks, a charge of €100 is deducted to cover admin costs; within two weeks no fee is refundable, but full credit is allowed against future workshop bookings. No other costs incurred, such as advance accommodation or travel payments made, will be refundable by John Dinan.

In the unlikely event that, due to illness or other reason, the workshop is postponed or cancelled, all fees paid will be returned in full, or if the participant wishes, any alternative workshop, dates and venues that are offered, may be booked and any fees already paid will be fully allocated to this workshop, and, depending on the fee involved with the new workshop, any credit owing thereafter will be refunded or fees due will be invoiced.
6. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by negligence. Otherwise, our total liability to you in connection with the site or any purchase is limited to the amount you paid to John Dinan.
7. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts, except where consumer protection law provides otherwise.
