Returns & Refunds

Each painting on this site is a unique, hand-made original. Once a painting has been packed, shipped, and signed for, it can’t be returned for general change of mind — the work is one of a kind and shipping each piece is involved.

That said, here’s the full picture in plain language.

Damaged in transit

If the painting arrives damaged, please email hello@johndinanartist.com within 14 days of delivery, with photographs of the damage and the outer packaging. We’ll replace, repair, or refund — whichever is appropriate to the work and your preference. Return packing and postage is at the buyer’s cost.

Statutory rights

Nothing here removes your statutory rights as a consumer under Irish or EU law. The 14-day cooling-off period under EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU does not apply to goods made to a customer’s specifications or clearly personalised, but it does apply to standard original works — we honour it. See “Damaged in transit” above for returning works.

How to start a return

Email us with your order number, the painting title, and a description of the issue. We’ll come back to you within three working days with the next steps.
